We have had many inquiries about cuff
and/or vest buttons that could be worn with our Republic of Texas Army
Buttons.
We have located a die, for a cuff or vest size
button, that is 24 Ligne size, or about 5/8 inch in diameter.
This particular button features a
RAISED, FIVE POINTED STAR, SURROUNDED BY WHAT LOOKS LIKE A OAK AND OLIVE
BRANCH WREATH, WITH A ROPE
EDGE AROUND THE BUTTON.
The history of this button is somewhat obscure, and it apparently has not been produced in quite a while. But the design is somewhat similar to the TEXAS STATE SEAL. It certainly 'looks like' it would be a good cuff or vest button, that would go well with our TEXAS ARMY buttons, so, we are having a few produced in 24K Gold Gild finish.
